Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search box is sent to the outside company that provides that tool. The partner processes the name, place, or other terms and supplies its results. We do not retain a local log of the terms submitted through that widget.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you contact us by email, the message and return address may be kept long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. We do not disclose that message outside our organization unless the law requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Ordinary server and analytics logs can collect technical facts when a page is requested.
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device and operating-system type
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring site, when provided
- Date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files that can help measure traffic, popular pages, and common exit points. Analytics tools combine usage information so site performance can be assessed. A browser can reject or remove cookies, though some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Collected technical and submitted information may be used for the following operational purposes.
- Operating and securing the website
- Sending a requested query to the search provider
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Diagnosing performance faults and software errors
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Arapahoe County Court Docket does not keep, compile, sell, or host a database of personal case records. It publishes reference material about where Arapahoe County state and municipal records are maintained. Colorado Judicial, the Clerk of Court at Arapahoe County Combined Courts, and municipal clerks remain the custodians. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report.
Third-Party Search Partners
An outside company powers each embedded search box. Information submitted there is governed by that company’s policy, retention practices, and terms rather than this policy. Review those documents before sending a query because we cannot control the provider’s processing or disclosures.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Colorado Judicial, court clerks, city courts, legal resources, or commercial search partners. Once a visitor leaves this domain, the destination’s privacy rules apply. Advertising providers may also use their own technology to measure activity across sites; that processing occurs on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to service providers or authorities in these circumstances.
- A search partner receives the query submitted to its tool
- Analytics vendors process site-use measurements
- Advertising networks deliver and assess advertisements
- A government body or law-enforcement agency receives data when valid legal process requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed secure, so these measures do not promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal data from anyone under eighteen. If information from a minor is identified, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
Your Data Rights
Colorado residents may have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. §§ 6-1-1301 through 6-1-1313, while the Colorado Open Records Act and Judicial Branch access directives govern official public and court records held by government custodians. Chief Justice Directive 05-01 governs court-information access, and Chief Justice Directive 08-02 addresses electronic-access cost recovery. Depending on the law and its exceptions, you may ask to:
- Access personal data maintained about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete qualifying personal data
- Opt out of covered processing or targeted advertising
These privacy requests concern information controlled by this site. They cannot change an Arapahoe County court record. A court-record access or correction issue must go to the court or clerk under the applicable Judicial Branch rule.
